Real food shouldn't feel like a luxury, and it definitely shouldn't come from a stranger. Tucked away in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Rose West is a local food experience built on the simple joy of knowing exactly where your dinner grew. Born from a muddy backyard garden, poultry pastures, and a deep-seated belief that neighbors should feed neighbors, this project brings the grit, transparency, and vibrant flavor of small-scale farming straight to your kitchen table.
Whether you are grabbing a weekly CSA box or swinging by the Steamboat II Homestead Farmstand on a afternoon stroll, every piece of food tells a story. Grounded in community, owner Meredith Rose acts as a trusted local food liaison, hand-curating boxes and stocking shelves with homegrown veggies, crispy Western Slope fruit, and fresh local sourdough. It is an open invitation to step away from the grocery store aisles and join a delicious, seasonal adventure right in your own backyard.
Rose West sought a brand identity that reflected its roots in Steamboat Springs, pivoting from administrative agricultural support to direct community engagement, local food, and homestead goods. The branding service strategy required a design that was both gritty and authentic, crafting a "neighborly" aesthetic that distinguished the business within the local food market.
